Welcome to Our School

At the Rainbows Pre-K school we want our students to explore, experience and practice what it means to be a child. As a teacher for the past two decades (and mother to a young child) I approach education with a sensitive eye and an open heart. As an artist, I bring a creative mindset to curriculum development and endeavor to support and enhance children's open-ended explorations and experiences.

Arriving to the States back in 2003, I came to pursue my Masters in Fine Arts. After completion, I started teaching visual arts at a K-8 school for children with special needs for many years. This experience has shaped my teaching philosophies and clarified for me more of what I was seeking in education. I took a leap, left my position and joined a preschool, thinking I may want to change a career if that year turned out well. And so it did, which brought me to pursue a second masters in Early Childhood Education. My path wasn't direct and clear from the get-go. However it has enriched my knowledge and love for the field. My passion and experience will all be geared towards creating a colorful and meaningful experience for our  Pre-K children.

As I seek to educate the children of the future, I want to give them the very best of what education can offer. Through play, the arts, math and literacy, outside play time and city explorations, we build a safe and nurturing environment for the child to foster their curiosity and fulfill their fullest potential. We hope you like what you see and choose to join us at Rainbows.

Yours,

Leat Klingman
